Roses and the Sacred Feminine
By Rosaline TempleIn an occasional series on ‘Roses and Consciousness’, welcome to Canadian guest blogger Rosaline Temple www.rosalinetemple.com:
Isn’t it fascinating that this one particular flower is so powerful? Just one long-stemmed rose can open our hearts, yet we can’t help but wonder why. I was fascinated when I first discovered that this beautiful blossom with its delicate fragrance is associated with the Divine Feminine.
According to ancient Jewish mysticism, the ‘Book of Radiance’, or Zohar in Hebrew, explains how the Divine Presence of the Hebrew people is compared to a rose – one which has two colours, red and white. She represents the Divine Presence on Earth – an expression of loving kindness and judgement, and is known as the Shekinah.

The fragrance of the rose carries a very high vibration, and throughout history, many people who’ve had mystical experiences have noticed a fragrance of roses around them. Many years ago, I had a vision in which I experienced “initiation in the Great Pyramid”. It was a continuous dream that went on for three days, yet it seemed as if I had actually traveled ‘out of my body’ to Egypt. Throughout the process, I felt as if I was completely bathed in the feeling of pure love, and I truly felt as if I had been in the presence of the Divine.
In the morning, I could smell roses all around me. The fragrance followed me wherever I went throughout the whole day. It became my passion to visit the pyramids of Egypt, the place where this had taken place, and I have since published two books about the whole experience.

I’ve had many visions and dreams in which I’ve been shown roses, and eventually I discovered that I belonged to a group known as ‘The Sisters and Brothers of the Rose’.
We are now living in the time of the re-awakening of the Magdalene Grid, and the Divine Feminine Era is in effect. If roses are appearing in your life, it may be a sign that you are being called to take part in very high-level spiritual work. You have been blessed by the very highest of beings who work together with the Sisters and Brothers of the Rose.
Namaste – the Goddess in me honours the Goddess in you.
